Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy strives to hire the best PTs to provide the highest quality of care, and the Tempe physical therapy clinic is proud of our amazing team. We look for employees who understand the Foothills Sports Medicine culture, which focuses on making the patient experience fun and enjoyable while they reach their physical therapy goals. Our PT of the month, Lindsey Fonacier, embodies these values.
The Tempe physical therapy location opened its doors to patients in 2013 and has since seen a tremendous amount of growth. Lindsey is the fourth and most recent addition to our highly qualified team. She is a recent graduate from the University of St. Augustine, where she obtained her doctorate in physical therapy. Originally from Simi Valley, California, she relocated to Arizona to begin her career here at Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy.
Since her graduation in late 2015, Lindsey has already completed a Level 1 course for a trigger point dry needling certification. She is working toward multiple goals, including obtaining her orthopedic certified specialist certification, an orthopedic manual therapy specialty, and one day opening her own clinic. Lindsey is motivated to improve her knowledge and skills so she can continue providing patients with the highest quality of care and using the most up-to-date techniques. Lindsey has been working the Tempe physical therapy clinic for less than 6 months and has already made a considerable impact. Her patients have many positive things to say about her, and her entertaining and outgoing personality make physical therapy fun for the patients and the rest of the staff.
Lindsey’s favorite aspects of her job are the challenges she faces on a daily basis and how she always learns something new. She enjoys educating patients about movement dysfunction so she can help them treat not only the symptoms of their conditions, but also solve the cause of their problems. After working in multiple clinics and therapy settings throughout graduate school, Lindsey says she loves working at Foothills because of the supportive environment, encouragement from everyone, and the ability to be pushed and grow within the company.
At Foothills Sports Medicine, we want to make our patients feel like family. Our therapists work together with patients as a team to help them reach their goals and make every treatment session a great experience. If you have any questions, or need to see a physical therapist, schedule a free assessment with one of our PTs like Lindsey. For more advice about physical therapy, follow our blog!
