Carlos Rivas, PT, DPT, owner of our Tempe location, is here to tell us about his innovative rehabilitation center:
Previously Performance Physical Therapy, our Tempe location is now entering their third year as part of the Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy family.
Our Tempe physical therapy location is made up of professional therapists and technicians. Our front office staff alone has a combined experience of over 20 years working in healthcare.
All of our qualified physical therapy technicians have graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and wellness, exercise physiology, or kinesiology. Additionally, each one of them is training to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Medicine. With constant changes in healthcare, we strive to provide the topmost quality of care, teach with hands-on treatment, and stay on top of evidence-based practices.
One employee who exemplifies the standards of our Foothills location is our own physical therapist Kacie Lyding.
Kacie, PT, DPT, received her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Biola University and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in 2012, and she’s been with us ever since.
On top of providing excellent care for her patients every week, she recently completed an 18-month Sports Residency Program. The residency program is designed to expand the knowledge of talented practitioners in sports related injuries through interactions with patients and other therapists.
In addition to the completion of the residency program, Kacie will soon become one of 13 therapists in the state of Arizona to be a Board Certified Sports Specialist. With her certification, she will be recognized as a leader in the physical therapy field and will be able to help improve the function of our patients who have suffered a sports related injury.
Among her other great qualities, Kacie provides a hands-on approach and shares her wealth of knowledge with others. She always greets her patients with a smile and can be found laughing with them often.
If you couldn’t tell, we are very proud of Kacie! But she is just one of the fantastic staff on board. We encourage everyone to come meet all of our incredible team members! Here at the Tempe location we will work together as a team to not only treat you to the best of our ability, but to make your visits fun and valuable experiences.
