Complement Your Body’s Biomechanics and Train like a Girl!

Did you know that female athletes are much more likely to suffer from certain sport-related injuries when compared to male athletes?  The knee is a common site for injury, especially a structure called the ACL, or anterior cruciate ligament.  Females can be up to ten times more likely to injure their knee than males.

Some of the reasons for this cannot be changed, such as the structure of a female’s bones.  However, many factors that cause these injuries can be changed.  Females need to train certain muscles to be stronger than they normally are, learn the correct way to jump and land, know how to keep certain muscles flexible and have good balance.
