My family is originally from Bosnia, and I was born in Croatia in the late 90’s. We came to AZ as refugees and we have been here ever since (and I don’t plan on leaving). I attended ASU, graduated with a BS in Health Sciences in 2019. I received my DPT from Franklin Pierce University in 2023. My area of interest includes general orthopedics tailoring treatments to fit the patients needs. Credentials include PT, DPT, and a certification in TDN.
What led me to a career in physical therapy is observing how my grandfather in Bosnia improved his function through physical therapy after a stroke he sustained while trying to raise his cattle. My treatment style is a very hands on approach with each patient, including soft tissue mobilization, cupping, dry needling, and joint manipulations. I believe it is imperative to understand what the patient is going through by listening attentively and making sure the PT experience is tailored to all the goals they want to achieve and activities they want to get back to for a fulfilling and active life.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my close family and friends, playing soccer and video games in my free time, and keeping up with the field of physical therapy.

Martin Johansson was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark. He began his education at University College Absalon in Denmark in 2019, followed by the University of Southern Denmark in 2021, and completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at George Fox University in 2026.
As a Physical Therapist, Martin’s areas of interest include general orthopedics, TMJ, youth athletes, and total knee rehabilitation. He holds credentials including PT, DPT, SMTC, and a Master of Science (MSC).
Martin chose physical therapy because he values building meaningful relationships with patients and helping them create lasting improvements for their health and future. He believes patients should understand their treatment, feel involved in the process, and remain in control of their care. His treatment style emphasizes clear communication, motivation, and creating a personalized experience that patients can connect with. He also enjoys sharing stories and experiences from his time abroad to help build rapport and make treatment more engaging.
Outside of physical therapy, Martin enjoys cooking, traveling, learning about U.S. history, weightlifting, and swimming. He enjoys staying active through fitness and swimming, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and traveling to experience different cultures and explore new places. He also has a strong interest in U.S. history and enjoys learning more about our country’s past.

As a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), Luwam enjoys working with a variety of patient populations, including athletes, older adults, and individuals with orthopedic conditions.
Luwam was drawn to physical therapy because he wanted a career where he could make a positive impact in people’s lives while combining his interests in sports, health, and wellness.
