Remarkable care, so grateful I came here. Service was outstanding, best advice is go often weekly and listen to your therapist. I’m a busy mom and needed to heal well. They gave be the best therapy for my knee, it healed well and they even gave me tips to help my comfort level. Excellent service all the way around, friendly and professional staff.

Ted Carter was my PT specialist during my 6 week program. He has an amazing patient-client demeanor and is a pro in skill & effectiveness as a technician. I started feeling improved pain & mobility within my first 2 visits. I highly recommend FSM, and especially Ted Carter as a PT specialist!

Dr. Carter and the crew in Ahwatukee are hands down the best. I’ve been to other places for PT, but none give the level of treatment and customer service. From the folks at the front desk to the docs to the techs, I’m always greeted promptly with a smile and exceptional customer service. After a number of crashes and sports related injuries I thought I was destined to live with pain. Ted got me treated and recovered quickly. I have trusted them with members of my family. As an athlete, I’ve had my share of physical therapy sessions over the last 40 years (overuse injuries, shoulder surgeries, etc) and have only now felt inclined to make the effort to pen a review. The Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy in Ahwatukee has earned my accolades. Not only are the front desk staff excellent and make you feel welcome, but the support staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. Most notably, Ted Carter (with a string of degrees), has been above and beyond the best therapist I have seen in all my years. He has helped me work through spinal pinched nerve issues in both my back and neck and return me to full-functionality. His cross-discipline knowledge is highly practical and has turned out to be the best path to my quick recovery. Ted listens and molds your unique situation into his recovery plan for you. I have been to Foothills Sports Medicine for about 7 weeks for a low back issue. Ted is very personable and has really helped my pain and mobility. I would highly recommend him. All of the assistants are wonderful too and I’ve never had to wait more than minute or two to be seen. Highly recommend!

After an extensive shoulder surgery in December of 2022, I was prescribed several months of physical therapy for rehab. I am so glad that I went to Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy in Ahwatukee. From the front staff, to the technicians, to my amazing therapist, Ted Carter, I could not have had a better experience. Everyone at the establishment made the rehab process as easy as could be. I was always greeted by name with a smile. It was always easy to make an appointment with the friendly and knowledge front desk staff. The care and knowledge of the technicians with respect to the exercises could not be matched anywhere else. Without my amazing therapist, Ted Carter, I could not have made the full recovery that I have. He not only helped me with the physical rehab, but he also checked in with me at every appointment to make sure that I was happy with my progress, and we worked through any setbacks I might have had. Do not hesitate to trust your rehab or other physical issues to the staff and professionals at this location!

I've been seeing Lori to rehab from a total knee replacement. Even though I knew recovery would be a long, hard process, I underestimated how challenging it would be. Lori has been the best partner I could have hoped for. Her expertise included not only choosing the right exercises at the right time, but also noticing little things like how to improve my gait. I was still walking as if I had arthritis pain, and she helped me relearn how to walk normally. She also suggested dry needling to help relax my chronically tight hamstring and calf muscles so I can finally regain full extension of my knee, which I haven't had for years. Lori was so patient and kind through my emotional ups and downs, gently reminding me that recovery is a process and that I was doing well even when I couldn't see it. I also want to give a big shout out to everyone who works there, from the front desk folks to all the PT techs. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and encouraging, especially when I was frustrated with how slow the recovery process was. And a big thank you to Meryl and Tony, the PTs who filled in when Lori was out of town. There was no loss of continuity in my care since the entire staff worked together seamlessly for my optimal recovery. This is an exceptional group of professionals, and I am just so, so grateful for all they've done for me.

This is for Meryl, I’ve never had a PT who was so laid back so knowledgeable and just so cool. The days I had PT I was actually good going in because I knew we’d talk and I was on my way to healing. I wish I had more time because I know I would have been fully healed by now. I just want to say thank you for sharing your expertise and friendliness and just making my PT time so comfortable and relaxing. If I’m ever hurt again, (hope not) I’ll be coming to you.

The health care is second to none. The Foothills PT’s LISTEN and work with you on a plan to restore your health. The techs are exceptional and work with you attentively. Finally the customer service is impeccable, and quick to answer your requests. I am a very demanding patient and I don’t make these statements lightly. The Staff earned the feedback that I just delivered. If you need PT Foothills is the place to go.

Dr.Ted at Foothills is amazing. 6mos of PT at another facility with little progress made me feel like I had to accept my injury as my new norm. I was given random exercises that seemed be thought of as I walked in the door and sent off to do them on my own. My ortho recommended switching to Dr Ted and within just a few visits I could already feel and see a difference. He had an individualized progressive plan for me and the results were immediate. I quickly realized I could make a full recovery. It gave me so much hope that I could return to my pre-injury self. I am so thankful! And all of the assistants are friendly and competent. Don’t stay with a therapist who is not giving you the individualized attention you will get from Dr. Ted.
